SCP Cylinder Valves

DN 15 – DN 100 | NPS ½ˮ – 2ˮ full bore,

SCP-type cylinder valves are suitable for the safe shutoff, control, and throttling of corrosive, abrasive, and toxic process media in liquid or gaseous form. The PFA or PFA-AS lining, which is at least 3 mm thick, the dead-space-free internal geometry, and the self-adjusting sealing system ensure high process reliability and a long service life even under demanding operating conditions.

ISO Flange

Upper flange conforming to ISO 5211 for direct mounting of actuators, which simplifies integration into automated systems. No ISO mounting kit required.

Metal-on-metal

The valve body halves are metal-to-metal (self-adjusting
permanent preload), which ensures greater reliability during temperature fluctuations; the heavy-duty, robust design is maintenance-free and guarantees easy grounding of the valve for ATEX applications.

Sealing System

The innovative, self-adjusting sealing system ensures reliable, high-performance operation even under critical conditions—with extended, maintenance-free cycles. The latest TA-Luft zero-emissions certification (EN ISO 15848-1), which guarantees environmental safety and compliance.

Low-dead-space design

Thanks to the design with minimal dead space, less fluid remains inside the valve—ensuring maximum process reliability, hygiene, and easy cleaning. Swissfluid’s SMART ball seats not only eliminate dead space but also reduce wear.

Main Features

Straight-line, dead-space-free design

The straight-through design allows for direct media flow and minimizes dead spaces within the valve. This makes the SCP particularly suitable for highly corrosive and abrasive process media.

PFA lining with high diffusion resistance

The PFA or conductive PFA-AS lining reliably protects the metal housing from corrosive process media. The high diffusion resistance ensures a permanently secure separation between the medium and the housing material.

Reliable Dynamic Shaft Seal

The dynamic sealing system ensures a leak-free seal on the shaft and guarantees reliable operation even under demanding operating conditions.

Consistently low operating torque

The flexible mounting of the lining ensures a consistently low torque. This allows the cylinder valve to be reliably operated either manually or with a suitable actuator.

High flow rate with low pressure drop

The aerodynamic design enables high flow rates with minimal pressure loss. As a result, the SCP supports efficient pipeline operation.

SCP-type cylinder valves are suitable for shutting off, regulating, and throttling corrosive, abrasive, and toxic process media in liquid or gaseous form. They are designed for demanding industrial applications and offer a reliable solution for a variety of process conditions.

The PFA or PFA-AS lining, which is at least 3 mm thick, reliably protects the metal body from aggressive media. Cast steel 1.0619 (WCB) or cast stainless steel 1.4408 (CF-8M) are available as body materials. The PFA-AS version is electrically conductive and is suitable for applications with corresponding requirements.

The SCP is available in DIN and ANSI versions and comes standard with a hand lever. Flange connections according to DIN PN10/16 or ANSI Class 150 allow for installation into existing piping systems. Depending on the lining material, the temperature range extends from –40 °C to +200 °C, and the pressure range from 1 mbar to 16 bar.
