SDV Diaphragm Valves

DN 15 – DN 200 | NPS ½ˮ – 8ˮ

The SDV diaphragm valve is suitable for shutting off, regulating, and throttling corrosive process media in liquid or gaseous form. Its fully gas-tight design and proven diaphragm technology ensure reliable operation in demanding applications.

Main Features

Rugged, proven design

The tried-and-true design ensures reliable, low-maintenance operation in demanding process applications.

Completely gas-tight design

The membrane technology ensures reliable gas-tight separation and thus safe operation across the entire pressure and temperature range.

Durable Lining Materials

Lining made of PFA or conductive PFA-AS offers high resistance to corrosive process media and allows for material selection tailored to the specific application.

Protected and durable membranes.

The integrated force limitation protects the PTFE/EPDM diaphragm from cold flow and other deformations. The spindle protection also reduces the effects of atmospheric corrosion.

Easy Maintenance and Position Indicator

The maintenance-friendly design allows for easy on-site replacement of parts. The yellow position indicator also ensures quick identification of the current diaphragm position.

Operating Conditions

depending on the choice of material
Pressure Range 13.33 mbar to 16 bar
0.19 psi to 232 psi
Temperature −30 °C to +150 °C
−22 °F to +302 °F

The SDV diaphragm valve stands out for its modular design and offers flexible configurations for various piping systems. The body and top sections are available either in cast steel 1.0619 (WCB) with a RAL 5005 Signal Blue finish or in cast stainless steel 1.4408 (CF-8M). PFA and conductive PFA-AS linings are available for use with particularly demanding media.

The PTFE/EPDM diaphragm is designed to ensure that the mechanical components remain reliably isolated from the process medium. An integrated force limiter protects the diaphragm from excessive stress and cold flow. The stem protection simultaneously reduces the effects of atmospheric corrosion and contributes to the valve’s long service life.

For easy operation and monitoring, the valve features a highly visible yellow position indicator. The maintenance-friendly design also allows for easy replacement of parts directly on site. The standard handwheel actuation can be supplemented with appropriate actuators and control elements depending on the application.
